Dental X-Rays
How often should dental x-rays be taken?
We typically recommend full mouth x-rays for new patients, which are usually good for three to five years. Bite-wing x-rays (x-rays of top and bottom teeth biting together) are taken at regular check-up visits once or twice a year to detect new decay. Healthy teeth and gums not only make your smile look great, but also contribute to your overall health. Early detection and treatment of dental problems during your new and periodic exams will save you time, money, discomfort and preserve your most beautiful smile!

We determine your need for dental x-rays based on our visual dental exam, your medical and dental history, symptoms, age, and risk for disease.
